Looking for businesses for sale once meant navigating multiple platforms, opening countless tabs, and spending hours combing through scattered listings. This inefficient process led our client to envision a smarter solution: a centralized platform for users to easily discover, filter, and explore businesses.
To bring this vision to life, we built a prototype–more than just wireframes, it was a working concept that played a key role in attracting investor interest and proving market potential. With momentum building, we moved into the development phase and quickly encountered our biggest challenge: inconsistent and fragmented data across different sources.To address this, we developed custom scrapers to collect large volumes of information.
Since raw data is often messy, we leaned on AI-powered tools to organize, categorize, and refine it. With clean data as our foundation, we designed a dual-navigation interface: a classic list for quick browsing and a dynamic map for geographic exploration. Advanced filters gave users granular control over their search. Under the hood, the platform was built with Go for backend performance, PostgreSQL for structured data management, and custom scraping technology to gather information at scale. On the frontend, HTMX, StimulusJS and TailwindCSS worked together to deliver a responsive, modern experience, while Railway ensured smooth deployment and scalability. What began as a fragmented experience across dozens of sites was unified into a seamless, cohesive product.
Users could finally browse all available businesses in a single, intuitive hub, saving time and enjoying a much-improved experience. Our client was delighted not only with the transparency and speed of our process but also with the high quality of the outcome. The platform exceeded expectations and enabled him to raise funds for a second version, which is now underway.
